PLEXComm® DIS voice communications software a success at I/ITSEC 2006
Camas, WA - January 22nd 2007- Both military and civilian customers alike found a better alternative to meet their DIS (Distributed Interactive Simulation) communication needs when they saw a demonstration of PLEXComm® voice simulation software at I/ITSEC 2006. Both the current features and pricing of PLEXComm® were found to be improvements over the competition.
PLEXComm® is a high-fidelity software solution for simulated radio and voice communications for use on an IP network. It is fully interoperable with any other DIS communications system on a network. Key features of PLEXComm® include its ability to run on Windows 2000/XP, operate on multiple ports simultaneously and is Runtime Configurable for Audio Encoding (Mu-Law, CVSD, ADPCM, 8-bit PCM, etc.). It also offers Runtime Configuration of DIS Parametrics such as Frequency, Power, Gain and Modulation. Both a Linux and HLA (High Level Architecture) version of PLEXComm® will be released soon.
PLEXComm® is used extensively in daily training events within the USAF (United States Air Force) DMON (Distributed Mission Operations Network) and USAF DMOC (Distributed Mission Operations Center) operational venues.
PLEXComm® T3 (Touch-to-Talk) is an entirely new application demonstrated for the first time at I/ITSEC 2006. With PLEXComm® T3, operator’s interface to their radios and voice nets via a touch screen panel.
