PLEXSYS Interface Products, Inc. Advanced Simulation Combat Operations Trainer (ASCOT) certified to support Joint Training

26 May 2009 – PLEXSYS Interface Products, Inc. Advanced Simulation Combat Operations Trainer (ASCOT) Radar Simulator® was recently certified by US Joint Forces Command (USJFCOM) to provide support to Joint Training.  PLEXSYS currently provides ASCOT support to replicate Battle Management and Command and Control (C2) using it’s inherent Live, Virtual and Constructive (LVC) Environment Generation (EG) capabilities.  In addition to its’ stand-alone features, ASCOT is the EG framework of the current USAF Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) Mission Training Center (MTC), a fully functional Block 30, E-3C emulator and the stimulus to the NATO AWACS Mission Simulation.

ASCOT was tested by US Joint Forces Command Technical Development and Innovation Branch (TDIB) using a variety of standards and metrics, and is now certified as meeting Joint Training requirements in support of the Joint Force Trainer Toolkit.  This certification is not intended as an endorsement of ASCOT and the certification report is authorized for limited distribution to U.S. Government agencies only (Critical Technology, 26 May 2009). Other requests for this document shall be referred to the USJFCOM TDIB.
